What it is

The Micro Ear Cup Forceps (Straight) is a fine-jaw, single-action instrument used to grasp, position, and manipulate small tissue fragments, tympanic membrane remnants, and grafts within the middle-ear space. The cupped jaw profile minimises trauma to surrounding ossicular structures while maintaining secure purchase on the target tissue.

When & how it's used

Most commonly deployed during tympanoplasty to handle the tympanic membrane graft (temporalis fascia or perichondrium) and to clear granulation tissue from the middle ear. Also used in myringoplasty, ossiculoplasty, and exploratory tympanotomy procedures where space constraints demand a narrow-profile instrument with precise cup-jaw control.
